A thousand children on stage and more! with Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba School

The Amphitheater of the Historic Center of Havana will present a long-awaited show next week: A Thousand Children on Stage and More! by Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba School, with its Career Orientation Clubs-Vocational Workshops, the Children’s and Youth Ballet and the Professional Career.

A varied selection of choreographies, created especially for this occasion by the dancers-teachers of the company, proposes the program, which will be illustrated by students whose ages range from six to sixteen years, according to the public relations team of Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba.

The Children’s and Youth Ballet and the Professional Career will perform choreographies such as Zambeando and Timba, Rumba y Son, works conceived within their repertoire, while they will also perform, together with other groups, the premiere of La caminadora, to close this course 2022-23 in style.

The students of the ballet, flamenco and urban dance workshops of MALECÓN ART 255 are also invited to participate in these performances.

The Galas of A Thousand Children on Stage and More! will take place on Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Amphitheater of the Historic Center of Havana.

Tickets will be on sale at the ticket office of La maestranza children’s park from Wednesday, June 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. They can also be purchased through the online platform EnZona.

The educational and social work that the company has been carrying out with dedication and love for more than 30 years has led the students of Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba to perform systematically on the stages of Cuba and other countries such as Germany, Canada and Panama, always with success.
