Acosta Danza Company announces a new season

The performance of the new generation of dancers of the Acosta Danza Company will allow the prestigious group to enjoy a season at the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater of Cuba.

The show, called Abriles, is a celebration of these new graduates of the Acosta Danza Academy, who will perform on April 14, 15 and 16, according to Lester Vila Pereira, press director.

The artists will perform, among other pieces, two well-known choreographies from the repertoire of the dance company: Mundo interpretado, by Brazilian Juliano Nunes, and Híbrido, by Cuban creator Norge Cedeño. Both works address the cultural universe of Cuba, the richness of its rhythms, its concerns, hopes and joys, from different perspectives and styles.

Abriles will be performed on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm and on Sunday at 5:00 pm. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, April 11, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Since its debut on the stage, Acosta Danza has been committed to creating dance shows that are fully in line with the most current ideas being developed in the world, not only in terms of the movement of the body, but also in everything related to the scene.

The company defines itself as a space of renewal, research and experimentation for Cuban artists, opening its doors to creators from all over the world, choreographers, musicians, designers, plastic and audiovisual artists.
