Cantata Forever Vilma on International Women’s Day

The Museum of the Revolution will open its Grand Hall of Heroic Cuba Flags this Wednesday, March 6th, at 3:00 p.m., with the cantata «Forever Vilma,» in celebration of International Women’s Day.

Young talents from the Mariana de Gonitch Singing Academy and their company Las Voces, under the artistic direction of tenor Hugo Oslé, will perform emblematic works from the group’s repertoire such as «El Mambí,» «Te doy una Canción,» «Claves Martianas,» «Carusu,» «El Titanic,» «Somos El Mundo,» «La Victoria,» «Crecerá,» «Guantanamera,» «Cuba que Linda es Cuba,» among others.

Since 2008, the Mariana de Gonitch Singing Academy has paid tribute to the great Russian artist and educator Mariana de Gonitch by promoting young singers under the guidance of maestro Hugo Oslé.

The Museum of the Revolution, the Casa del Alba Cultural in Havana, Casa Balear, communities, and healthcare centers have welcomed the art of these emerging voices through their beautiful project.
