Makeup Artists Celebrate International Day of the Makeup Artist in Havana

On Saturday, June 24, makeup artists will celebrate the International Day of the Makeup Artist with a musical show in Havana.
The América Variety Theater in the Cuban capital has been chosen as the venue for the event, which is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m.
Makeup artist Roberto González contributed with the original idea and is in charge of the production of the show entitled Pinceladas, also under the artistic direction of Ricardo Isidrón and hosted by Yaima Carrabeo.
The makeup artists of Cuban Television will present their fantasy work in a staged performance, and renowned makeup artists such as Eva la Barbie will participate in the show.

The magician Jeison, Ballet América and Michel Hernández, singer and director of the group Gitano’s, will also showcase their art during the evening, according to Roberto Gonzalez via Facebook.
With an outstanding career in this specialty, González passes on his knowledge to new generations at the América Variety Theater and the National Theater School.
International Makeup Artist Day was created to recognize those who enhance human beauty by combining shapes, textures and colors.
The date pays tribute to the American Bud Westmore, a prominent Hollywood film make-up artist who died on June 24, 1973.
