Fátima and the Parque de la Fraternidad at Pabellón Cuba
The Asociación Hermanos Saíz (AHS) has announced the upcoming presentation of Fátima and the Parque de la Fraternidad, scheduled for the first days of October at the Salón de Mayo of Pabellón Cuba, the organization’s national headquarters on Havana’s Rampa.
The production will be staged on the first weekend of October, Friday, October 2, and Saturday, October 3, as part of the celebrations marking the AHS’s 40th anniversary, with activities taking place across the country, according to a post on the organization’s Facebook profile.
The play stars acclaimed actor Ray Cruz and is directed by Claudia Zaldívar. It is based on Fátima o el parque de la fraternidad, a short story by Maestro de Juventudes Miguel Barnet, and on the film adaptation directed by Jorge Perugorría, which premiered in Cuba in August 2015.
