Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba returns with En Familia
Following two entertaining editions that attracted hundreds of spectators and created an atmosphere of joy and creativity, LADC will perform their En Familia shows again this Saturday, 30 May. Malecón Art 255 will once again become a stage for dance, live music, comedy and entertainment, hosted by the actress Amarilis Sánchez.
Children and young people from the LADC workshops and school will take centre stage, accompanied by special guests including Geidy Chapman, Alejandro Phillips and Yanni Jackson, who impersonates the legendary King of Pop, Michael Jackson. There will also be performances from the groups A Compás Flamenco and Olivian Dance.
En Familia offers three sessions: 10:00 am, 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. There will be opportunities to learn and chat with the creators, as well as culinary delights, vibrant music and plenty of fun. Tickets are still on sale for 500 pesos.
LADC also announces a summer break for the Bailar no tiene edad project, a necessary pause to protect older people from the current season’s heat.
As was the case last year, Bailar no tiene edad will resume in October, which is also the month that the company will celebrate its 35th anniversary, founded by teacher and choreographer Lizt Alfonso.
