The National Ballet of Cuba will be among the companies represented at Panama Ballet Fest 2026, an international dance event held in tribute to the legendary English ballerina Margot Fonteyn.

According to the company’s Press Department, performances will take place from June 4 to 7 at the Aurea Baby Torrijos Theater, located in the City of the Arts.

The Cuban delegation will be headed by principal dancers Viengsay Valdés, the company’s general director, Ányelo Montero, and Yankiel Vázquez, and will also include distinguished artists Alianed Moreno, Nadila Estrada, and Alejandro Alderete.

The Cuban artists’ program features the Rose Adagio from The Sleeping Beauty, in Alicia Alonso’s staging of the original choreography by Marius Petipa; Love Fear Loss by Ricardo Amarante; and classical pas de deux from Coppélia, Esmeralda, and Le Corsaire.

The Le Corsaire pas de deux will be performed by Ányelo Montero and Panamanian dancer Ana Lorena Boyd.
