Commercial Forum: Strategic Alliances Between Artex and the Non-State Business Sector
As part of the celebrations marking the 37th anniversary of Artex S.A. Artistic and Literary Promotions, and in line with the new Decree-Law 114/2025, which paves the way for economic partnerships between state-owned and private enterprises in Cuba, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), cooperatives, and other non-state actors are invited to take part in a unique space for dialogue, business development, and strategic collaboration.
The call is aimed at owners and representatives of MSMEs, cooperatives, and other forms of non-state business actors (FGNE) operating in the cultural, handicraft, services, food service, audiovisual, design, music, and related creative industries sectors.
Speaking about the event, Maryxochit Vega Salermo, Commercial Vice President of Artex, highlighted that its main objectives are to foster direct engagement between Artex executives and private-sector entrepreneurs, present the collaboration mechanisms enabled under the new legal framework—such as joint ventures, equity participation, association-based mergers, and economic partnership agreements—and showcase the company’s business portfolio, including its network of retail outlets and cultural centers.
The forum is also expected to generate letters of intent and cooperation agreements, establish a contact agenda to promote joint ventures within the cultural sector, and encourage entrepreneurship and linkages between state and non-state actors.
The Commercial Forum on Strategic Alliances will take place on May 14 at the Submarino Amarillo Cultural Center, located in Havana’s Vedado district, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
